Hello internet! It's time to grab your grandparents, because today we will be explaining the main social medias.
#1: Facebook
Created in 2004 by youngster Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook quickly became one of the world's most popular social media sites. Facebook is different than other social medias because it is for personal posts. Family photos, health updates, and pictures of your cat in a sweater are definitely welcome on Facebook.

#2: Snapchat
Snapchat is among the most popular social media platforms due to it's audience: teens. It provides an easy way for people to "snap" back and forth. It is also the home of the Bitmoji, an app that allows you to make a little avatar for your account. Snapchat is also popular due to the ability to add an image to your "Story."

#3: Instagram
A bi-product of Facebook, Instagram does the one thing Facebook has never successfully done: Reach out to teenagers. As another social media for teens, Instagram gives people the ability to quickly post an image or video, but word posts are not an option. it is the Social Media of Photoshop.

#4: Twitter
Twitter has quickly gained the title as the social media for politics, especially due to many politicians giving news updates through the site. Twitter is not for long posts, just "Tweets." When you "Tweet," you give short little posts. Twitter is not a place to post personal photos. Trust me.

#5: Reddit
Reddit is by far the most confusing social media platform due to it's Subreddits and rules. You must be careful on Reddit or you will be trashed for many different reasons. Mods fill every Subreddit (group where people can post), moderating every post. It has become the social media of memes due to the existance of r/memes, but it can get political too at times. Likes count as karma in the world of Reddit, and the amount of karma you have determines where you can post. Crazy, right?

#6: Tik Tok
Formerly known as musical.ly, Tik Tok has become the social media for teens to share singing and dancing videos. That's pretty much all I'm going to say, other tan (just my opinion) stay away.

BONUS: Parlor
Due to the censorship of conservative voices throughout social media, a new platform has risen: Parlor. Parlor is like a conservative Twitter, but it welcomes anyone and loves when people debate. Check it out.
